Hints from under the Helmet
*Put your blankets in your horses stall not in the grooming area
*Warm your horse’s bits in the cold weather
* Your horse should have as many layers on as you have on
* Remember that it’s hard for horses to breathe in really cold weather

Saddle Club Update!
What’s Up?
The club is now coming up with more charity ideas! We are also going to start a SC Drill Team on the farm in the spring. There will be open try outs, with only 6 slots! Want to join? Talk to Ali or Caitlin about getting an entry form or just go to www.freewebs.com/shamrock05. Thanks to all the raffle ticket buyers, with all your generosity we raised over $2,500 for the MSPCA. One of the winners was even from SRF, Kerstin! Thanks again!
A New Tradition!
At every Christmas party, including this year, the Saddle Club will be giving the Stirrup Perpetual Trophy” to one lucky member will get to keep the trophy for a year. This trophy does not come easy! This member must have worked hard all year! Thanks to the Barros Family for donating the “Stirrup Trophy” to the Saddle Club! Who won it this year? Kira Gobes!
Salt Water Pony!
Most of you have seen the cute little pony Shamrock. Do you know that when he was 3 months old, he swam across the Chincoteague Channel to pony penning, where Caitlin and Ali bought him. Shamrock had a long trailer ride to MA from Virginia!
Friends on the Road...
The Saddle Rowe gang hit the road a month ago for their fun filled weekend at the Vermont Icelandic Horse Farm! The kids rode for 3 hours the 1st day and the moms took a turn the 2nd day! From shopping to riding up the mountains this was a weekend to remember!
SEHA Spectacular!
After the November Saddle Rowe Show, the Gang headed down the cape for the
SEHA Awards Dinner. Everyone came home with tons of prizes, but
Caitlin topped it off with an amazing total of 7 ribbons!
We had a blast!
Thanks to...
Everyday she works hard to take care of the horses and barn we love. She is knowledgeable, kind, and she is always willing to answer any questions. She gets 5 stars for customer service. Just wanted to say thanks to.... GEZ
